Experience UW-Eau Claire

UW-Eau Claire has so much to offer. We know, you've probably heard that before. But really, UWEC is an affordable option that's a unique blend of personal relationships combined with the atmosphere of a small, private college.

UW-Eau Claire

Discover your purpose and passion

Prepare to go after your dreams — including the ones you didn't know you had. Blugolds are not defined by one discipline or profession. Instead you're encouraged to embrace your multiple passions. We call this the Power of AND. Many opportunities will help you discover your AND. An experience in another country or culture might make you think differently about the world, or faculty-student collaborative research may allow you to present at a national conference. That friend you met in the dorms or a student org could become a business partner. The possibilities are endless.

Blugold Marching Band

BMB marches on

UW-Eau Claire’s Blugold March Band grew to 400 members this fall, making it the largest marching band in the Midwest — including at the Big Ten universities — and one of the largest marching bands in the country.

Blugolds spent time exploring small villages in the southern part of China during Winterim, immersing themselves in Hmong and other ethnic cultures.

Exploring Hmong history in China

During Winterim, several Blugolds were part of an immersion where they learned about and experienced the rich history and culture of Hmong people and other minorities living in Southwest China.

Learn More

Blugolds are constantly learning, in and out of the classroom, about themselves and the world around them. UW-Eau Claire helps you discover what you love to do and what defines you, then gives you the tools and opportunities to find a place in the world to make your mark!
